"I can best describe this particular league as "Fantasy Baseball 2.0". Anything that strives to be great starts out by having a high standard. In this respect, this league does just that by requiring active participation from its members all year long.
The GM format gives the obsessive fantasy guy (or girl) a never-ending study of baseball, baseball statistics, and the genuine feel of operating a Major League team. For a novice, this league happily brings a person along who is trying to be serious about fantasy baseball and this league is helpful at all stages.
Compared to other leagues, I would say that there is nonstop action between the bidding of free agents and the huge number of trades. I have been in this league for a couple of months now and have made some friendships, about 20 trades and some added learning about baseball finance.
The commissioners also work hard to administer a fair and fun league. They are accessible for all questions - no matter how big or small. The deciding commissioner(s) are not afraid to discuss any decision they have made with the impacted team(s). The founder and head commissioner Preston Barclay demands the best out of everybody, including his fellow commissioners. The effort put into running a 30 team, 50 man roster, twin website fantasy baseball league is immense. The commissioners are diligent to the smallest of details, quick to compile data such as free agent bids and are in general about as good as you can hope for in any league. My favorite things about the league are the leadership, the individual teams and the exciting transactions.
I would highly recommend PB’s Fantasy Baseball to any person who is serious about it to get on the waiting list for joining this league. I have been in a fantasy baseball league aside from this one for 18 consecutive years, but PB’s Fantasy Baseball is already my favorite."
